Effective Altruism Funds

Effective altruism funds

Why donate to a fund?

Donating to an effective altruism fund can have advantages, especially if you would like to donate long-term, such as with periodic donations or through your will.

You entrust your money to a fund manager who over the years determines how it can be spent as effectively as possible. Pooling of donations gives a fund flexibility (during a pandemic, for example) and keeps the costs down.

Usually the biggest share of resources is granted to the top charities in that field. A smaller part is granted to younger, promising ones.

Here is an overview of the funds per area. Donations to all funds is tax-deductable; often directly or sometimes via a facilitating organization. You can find donation and tax information on the relevant pages.
